Solar panels 'definitive energy efficiency improvement'
Article date : 29/12/2009

There are now more ways to access funding to finance the purchase and installation of solar panels and similar renewable energy generating technology than ever before, one sector commentator has asserted.
According to a spokesperson for British Eco Energy, Britons are increasingly looking to the financial benefits of going green, rather than the positive effect such action can have on the environment.
He added over the last decade, it has become more simple to fit a property with a wide selection of renewable appliances.
"Solar photovoltaic (PV) electricity systems or solar hot water systems are the definitive forms of improving energy efficiency," the commentator asserted, adding that the benefits of renewable energy systems are "unmatched".
His comments come after Alistair Darling, chancellor of the exchequer, announced in the pre-Budget report that homeowners who direct any of their excess energy generated by solar panels back to the National Grid will be in line to receive £900 a year, tax-free.
