One London school is so keen to go green it has got pupils involved in its drive to boost energy efficiency.
Fox's primary school in Notting Hill, which according to the Guardian was one of the first education establishments to sign up to the 10:10 campaign, has carried out a number of improvements designed at keeping its carbon footprint, along with its energy bills, low.
This has included fitting reflective panels behind all of the
radiators in the classrooms.
Homeowners may also wish to carry out this task as such a step can help prevent heat from being absorbed through the walls or lost through a window and instead reflects the heat from the
radiator evenly around the room.
Pupils have also got involved, by turning off lights when they are not needed and enjoying a meat-free meal twice a week, the newspaper continues.
Organised by the makers of the Age of Stupid documentary, the 10:10 campaign asks individuals and groups in the UK to pledge to reduce their energy consumption by ten per cent next year.
