Northern Gas saves the day
Northern Gas Heating's fitters saved the day recently by preventing a neighbouring house from catching fire.
While installing a central heating system in Solihull, the team smelled burning next door. Looking over the garden fence they spotted flames shooting from the dustbin, perilously close to the back of property.
Dialing 999, the crew contained the fire until the fire brigade arrived. "We like to think we offer the highest levels of customer service but this really was beyond the call of duty," said Installation Manager Phil Homer. "Fortunately no-one was hurt but if it wasn't for the crew's quick thinking the situation might have been very different."
