Heating controls 'could make homes healthy'

Britons have been advised that now is the time to ensure that their central heating systems are in a healthy working order ahead of the winter weather.

Online resource About My Area reports that scheduling a boiler service is one way of checking it is working efficiently - and such action could also ensure that Britons are not left out in the cold, should their boiler breakdown without warning.

However, people should keep in mind when hiring a boiler engineer that they must be Gas Safe Registered.

The resource goes on to advise that heating controls could give central heating systems a boost, noting that there are many different types available including programmers, room thermostats, cylinder thermostats and thermostatic radiator valves.

"Heating controls are easy to install but you will need to take the time to learn about different programming systems," is states.

The article also notes that taking the time to bleed all of a property's radiators can also ensure they are working efficiently throughout the winter.
