The Facts

The White Knight eco is the only domestic tumble dryer available in the UK that is heated by gas. This consequently produces 54% less carbon emissions than a typical electric tumble dryer and 61% lower running costs.

*Given that electricity is 3 times more expensive than gas the White Knight eco is significantly cheaper to run than an electric alternative, averaging only £15 per year.

**With around 10m tumble dryers in the UK market, electric tumble dryer’s account for a massive 4.3% of the UK’s entire domestic energy consumption. The introduction of gas heated tumble dryers presents many benefits to both consumers & the environment. For example a gas heated tumble dryer will produce approximately 21kg of carbon as opposed to the 40kg an electric tumble dryer will produce.

***Energy label ready – a gas tumble dryer is exempt from the standard energy label requirements which apply to the electrical tumble dryers. Yet in carbon terms the White Knight eco tumble dryers are the equivalent of energy label A.
