CORGI was founded in1970 to protect the public from the dangers of unsafe gas installations. By maintaining an up-to-date register of qualified gas installers and other trades people, CORGI set out to promote the core values of professional service and high standards in safety. The CORGI badge is now a guarantee of quality, making it the standard to look for when employing a tradesman. In recent years, registration has become a legal requirement for anyone installing or repairing gas fittings or appliances. So, you can be sure that any work completed by a CORGI technician will be done competently and safely.
Always ask to see a CORGI ID card.
All CORGI-registered installers must carry an ID card and have it available to show to you when they are working in your home. Always check your installer's CORGI ID card - front and back - this way you can be confident they are who they say they are, and that they are properly trained to carry out the work. If you don't see this card, don't let them in. To make sure your installer is safe, ask to see their CORGI ID Card and check:
