Central heating systems 'a must'

Central heating systems in property are seen as a must-have feature by 81 per cent of the respondents to one recent survey.
According to Halifax Estate Agents, this figure rises to 86 per cent for people aged over 65, who put an increased emphasis on the importance of staying warm with central heating.
When it came to what improvement people felt would most attract buyers to a property, ten per cent stated the importance of new
central heating systems, while 14 per cent noted fuel efficiency and energy saving measures - which may include a new
condensing boiler and
heating controls.
And eight per cent of respondents felt that poor energy efficiency would make a house that was for sale undesirable.
Britons hoping to boost the energy efficiency of their property may wish to contact a Gas Safe registered
boiler engineer to carry out a
boiler service and let them know if it is worthwhile updating it.
