Are Brits planning to buy new towel radiators?
Article date : 30/04/2010
Towel radiators could be an accessory many Britons are considering purchasing this Bank Holiday, as people plan to carry out improvements in their bathrooms.
Research by YouGov which was commissioned by the New West End Company has revealed that 38 per cent of London property owners hope to give their bathroom a makeover in the next year, while over half are hopeful their home improvements will add value to their property.
Commenting on the figures, Jace Tyrrell, spokesperson for the New West End Company, said: "Interestingly, the bathroom was the most popular room in terms of what they wanted to make over."
He added that consumers are keen to make an investment in doing up their home in order to make some of the money back when house prices rise again.
While Britons may wish to improve the appearance of their home, they could also consider longer term investments that make their property more energy efficient.
Solar panels that boost a house's
central heating systems could be a worthwhile investment as they could lead to significant reductions on annual utility bills, in addition to lowering carbon emissions.
