With the autumn now here, many Britons may be enjoying fruit and vegetables they have grown themselves in their own gardens.
And residents in Henley-upon-Thames were recently keen to show off their fresh produce at a festival which saw money being raised to put towards a
new boiler for the village hall, it is reported.
The Henley Standard reports that attendees of the Woodcote Festival raised £1,100 which will be put towards a
new boiler.
And locals were rewarded for their efforts with prizes being handed out in categories including fruit and vegetables, crafts, photography, baking and art, the news provider continues.
Furthermore, next year's competition entrants may be able to enjoy the festival in warmth, once the £5,000
new boiler is installed.
A
new boiler could help to modernise
central heating systems, but Britons are advised to always contact a
boiler engineer from the Gas Safe Register to fit the device or carry out a
boiler service.
