A historic listed building which was built by the father of Charlotte, Emily and Anne Bronte in 1832 is set to be brought up to date with a
new boiler, it has been reported.
North-east news provider the Telegraph and Argus states that the current
broken boiler is beyond repair and that a
new boiler should see the Old Schoolroom in Haworth being kept warm through the winter months.
Reverend Patrick Bronte built the school house and the Bronte sisters - who would go on to become three of the country's most celebrated authors - and their brother later taught classes there.
The Keighley area committee will help to fund the installation of the
new boiler.
Averil Kenyon, of Haworth Church-based Bronte Spirit, stated: "The school room is one of the most important historical buildings in the area and must be conserved for the future."
And Britons are also investing in
new boilers, with the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs recently reporting that of the households in the UK with
central heating systems, 31 per cent have
condensing boilers.
