As the credit crunch rumbles on and energy bills continue to rise, ensuring that
central heating systems are as energy efficient as they can be has been called a "sound investment" by one newspaper.
The Daily Mail recommends that Britons who have money to spend on making their homes greener should first consider giving
central heating systems a boost through the addition of a
new boiler.
And the news provider asserts that a
condensing boiler could see households preventing some 1.7 tonnes of carbon dioxide from being released into the atmosphere every year, along with reducing annual gas bills by around £200.
Because prices for a
condensing combi boiler start at around £400, such a purchase could see Britons making back the money they have spent on their
new boiler in two years through the savings they will make on energy bills.
The Energy Saving Trust states that
condensing boilers are currently the most energy efficient
gas boilers available to domestic households.
