Summer 'may be perfect time for boiler servicing'
Article date : 27/07/2010

The summer months could be the ideal time for people to get their boilers serviced and carry out a few home improvements.
This is according to one expert, who stated that property repairs should be prioritised over spending money on a holiday.
Andrew Leech, director at the National Home Improvement Council, explained some homeowners are spending less on DIY projects this year because their earnings are going on a summer vacation.
However, he described this as "a negative approach because really home improvements should take priority over holidays".
Boiler servicing could be one improvement that people may want to put at the top of their lists before autumn and winter arrive.
Last month, Santander Mortgages reported that first-time buyers spend an average of £3,782 kitting out their new home.
While many purchased sofas, chairs, beds and kitchen appliances to get their properties furnished within a year, others splashed out on a housewarming party.
