Could more people consider boiler servicing after summer?
Article date : 28/07/2010

People could be more likely to think about getting their
boiler serviced when the summer is over, it has been suggested.
Andrew Leech, director at the National Home Improvement Council, said homeowners often start to take a more "positive attitude" towards their properties when autumn arrives.
He suggested that following the harsh winter in the UK last year, people will look at what they need to do ahead of 2010's colder months.
While some may consider fitting new bathrooms and kitchens, other Brits might look at ways of making energy improvements to their properties, Mr Leech continued.
He said that "now is the appropriate time to do that and then start putting things right before the next winter comes along".
Earlier this month, figures from GfK Retail and Technology UK revealed that in the first six months of the year, the market value of DIY and gardening stood at £5.8 billion.
