Boiler upgrade 'best way to improve property'

Homeowners have been advised that one of the best ways to add value to their property is to upgrade their boiler.

According to About My Area, when the housing market is slow people can make improvements to central heating systems in order to boost their value.

Indeed, this can be especially useful in older properties, although for those in homes that are newer it could also be a viable option as energy efficiency is now one of the first areas that prospective buyers will look at when deciding on a new home.

Anyone considering a boiler or central heating upgrade is advised to ensure they have the work carried out by a professional who is accredited by the Gas Safe Register.

Elsewhere, figures compiled by uSwitch recently showed that many Brits endured a colder winter than earlier usual this year as they turned down their heating systems in order to save money as a result of the recession and global economic downturn.
