Boiler services 'key to property peace of mind'

UK property owners have been advised that getting a regular boiler service is key to ensuring peace of mind around the home.

Ivor Bates noted for About My Area that having an annual check-up on gas appliances and central heating systems is the best way to ensure that these devices are working properly and do not pose a risk to health.

Furthermore, this can ensure they are working at optimum levels, thereby helping homeowners to save.

He wrote: "The whole thing can give you peace of mind and may even save you a small fortune in the long run."

Individuals should ensure that all work carried out on central heating systems is done so by a qualified Gas Safe Register engineer.

Elsewhere, research carried out by Confused.com recently showed that British homeowners are presently paying £18,500 on their bills annually.

This means that over the last 12 months, the cost of living has increased by £642.12 from £17,860.74.
