Boiler Scrappage Scheme

The UK Boiler scrappage scheme was launched on January 5, 2010. Its aim was to help up to 125,000 households to install newer, fuel-efficient heating systems and stay warm without wasting energy. Households that took part saved between £200 to £235 a year on fuel bills and also cut their carbon emissions. The scheme also provided a much needed boost to plumbers and boiler manufacturers, helping to sustain work for the many boiler installation companies.

To qualify you needed to live in England and have a working G-rated boiler. Successful applicants got a voucher for £400 off the price of either a modern A rated boiler or a renewable heating system (such as a biomass boiler or a heat pump).

Even thought the boiler scrappage scheme is now closed, households can still receive discounts for old boilers from companies such as Northern Gas. Contact us today to receive your discount on a new boiler installation.
