Gas Safe - All Northern Gas Heating installation engineers are trained to the Government’s Gas Safe (previously CORGI) standard. All our gas fitters carry a Gas Safe card helping you to identify their credentials while satisfying yourself that their skills are up to date and relevant to the work they are undertaking. As a company Northern Gas Heating is registered with the Gas Safe ID number 187477 which can be verified on the Gas Safe website.

The CHAS Assessment Scheme is a government run scheme. CHAS has been developed over quite a number of years by local government health & safety professionals, with the support of the Health and Safety Executive. The CHAS scheme provides information about the health and safety systems and competency of the organisations who have been CHAS assessed or are registered as CHAS accredited.
Constructionline is the Government's national register for suppliers. In the same way CHAS offers a tool for use in the health and safety element of pre-qualification, Constructionline provide the pre-qualification tool for use in financial standing, technical references and other areas. The CHAS management group supports the principles of a single register and so works jointly with Constructionline.

Installer certification entails assessing the supply, design, installation, set-to-work and commissioning of renewable micro-generation technologies.
The REAL Assurance Scheme exists to protect and raise standards for consumers who purchase small-scale energy generation for use in their own home. Scheme members are legally obliged to comply with the Consumer Code at the heart of the Scheme and overseen by the Office of Fair Trading. This ensures installations are conducted in accordance with the code of practice providing total peace of mind for the consumer.
